To the best little parrot in the world
I miss you on a daily basis
Let Grandad and Nanna take care of you
Snuggle into their shoulder
My heart still hurts for you
I love you Lawrie. My beautiful baby girl
I didnt mean for you to die
Ididnt mean for me not to be there
You know I loved you more than anything

Wings
Oh, to catch the winds of flight
And soar where eagles go
To leave the woes of troubled souls
Behind me far below
I'd listen to the song of birds
And sail in endless flight
Then chase the sun through cloudy paths
And play with the stars at night.
The boundless heavens for my home
The breeze to lift me high
To rise above my mortal bonds
And never have to die
Knowing I had found the way
To trails where angels trod
And when my wings could fly no more--
I'd take the hand of God.

Thinking of my little bird
Time has healed the wound but nothing can fill the hole left behind when you left. I still miss you lawrie lawrie. I miss your calling out to me when you were in your cage and you wanted to be on my shoulder. I pray that when I die I will see you running on your little legs as fast as you can to me cos you never liked to fly!! Love and miss you baby girl xx
Heavenly Wings
These feathered friends of ours,
Bring happiness beyond belief;
And when they are no more
Nothing can dispel our grief.
We must remember the happiness
Of special moments shared;
Knowing we gave our love
and the very best of care.
A bird is a special companion
That burrows deep into our hearts;
God will care for our loved ones
When their life on earth departs.
Knowing our friends live on -
In this we can find consolation;
Filling the heavens with color
And the noise of jubilation.
